The Winnipeg Blue Bombers finally looked like the team we expected them to be, beating the Montreal Alouettes 44-28 in arguably their best game of the season. Winnipeg’s defence was all over Davis Alexander, while Zach Collaros and the offence seemed to have an answer for everything Montreal threw at them. The biggest concern for the Alouettes was their defence, which just could not find a way to get Winnipeg off the field. On our postgame show, Dan feels this performance showed that the Bombers are back. Adam is still on the fence and wants to see them do it again before buying back into Winnipeg. Jacob’s concern is more with Montreal. This was the first time this season the Alouettes really looked outclassed, and there was also the decision to leave Alexander in the game late after he appeared banged up. With Montreal now playing the BC Lions over the next two weeks, we are about to learn a lot about this team. Are the Alouettes still the best team in the CFL, or did Winnipeg expose some real problems?
Either way, the West just got a whole lot more interesting.
