Jacob Moore

Jacob has been covering sports since he was 16 years old, when he started volunteering at Rogers TV Barrie. That is where he first learned how much he loved being around live productions, sports stories and the people who make local sports matter.

Since then, he has turned that passion into a career in sports media and live production. Jacob has worked on projects including 705 Sports and Hometown Hockey, while also producing live sports, community programming, interviews and special events.

The Analyst Desk came from wanting to build something of their own: a place where sports fans can come together for honest takes, live pre- and post-game coverage, debates and conversations that feel like you are watching with your friends.

Co-Founder

Dan Moore

Since high school, Dan has always been passionate about four things: sports, cars, sales and bringing people together. Being part of The Analyst Desk allows him to combine all four.

After high school, he attended the Automotive Business School of Canada before travelling across the country to work at the Canadian International AutoShow. That experience made him realize how much he loved the automotive industry.

Dan went on to sell more than 700 vehicles while helping customers get #Moore4YourMoney. Today, he continues helping customers find the right vehicle as part of the sales team at Subaru of Hamilton, while also helping grow TAD into a community where people can connect, talk sports, share their interests and enjoy life together.

Adam Walsh

Adam joined The Analyst Desk team as a massive sports fan who watches just about everything — hockey, basketball, football, both American and Canadian football, rugby and baseball.

He brings a good amount of knowledge across all of those sports. Adam always brings his honest takes and passion to the conversation.

Rick Boccaccio

Rick is the host of Hamilton Sports Central and brings strong local knowledge and real CFL insight to The Analyst Desk.

From the Tiger-Cats and Forge FC to the Hamilton Hammers, U Sports football and the local stories that matter across the city, Rick is plugged into Hamilton sports. He brings the perspective of someone who follows the teams, knows the fan base and cares about the community behind every game.

Lane Daschko

Lane brings the energy to The Analyst Desk. He is the kind of fan who lives for the big moments — rivalries, playoff pushes, last-minute comebacks and every debate that comes with them.

His sports knowledge also goes beyond the desk. Lane has done play-by-play and helped cover local sports throughout the Halton Region, bringing a strong understanding of the teams, athletes and stories in the community.

He is not afraid to bring the hot takes or say what nobody else wants to hear. Whether people like it or not, Lane speaks his truth and brings a real fan-first perspective to every conversation.

Baycats Banter & Contributor

Sam Aucoin

Sam brings a strong passion for sports at every level, from local teams to the biggest games in the pros. Through his work with the Barrie Baycats, he has built real experience in the baseball world and a deep appreciation for the people and stories that make local sports special.

Baseball is a major part of what Sam brings to the desk, whether it is the Baycats, the MLB or the game’s biggest storylines. He is also a host and producer of Baycats Banter, the official podcast of the Barrie Baycats, helping bring fans closer to the players, stories and people behind the team.

Sam also follows all types of football closely and brings thoughtful takes, strong knowledge and real passion to every conversation.
