Hamilton Hammers fans will not have to wait much longer to secure their seats for the team’s highly anticipated home opener.
The Hamilton Hammers announced Tuesday, September 8, that tickets for the team’s inaugural home opener at TD Coliseum will officially go on sale to the general public Friday, September 12 at 10:00 a.m.
Hammers and TD Coliseum newsletter subscribers will get an early opportunity to purchase tickets, with the pre-sale beginning Thursday, September 11 at 10:00 a.m.
And the matchup waiting for Hamilton fans could not be much bigger.
Hammers Welcome Arch-Rival Toronto
The Hammers will open their home schedule against the Toronto Marlies, setting the stage for what could quickly become one of Hamilton’s biggest hockey rivalries.
Hamilton’s home opener is scheduled for Friday, October 9, with puck drop at 7:00 p.m. at TD Coliseum.
The two teams will then meet again on Sunday, October 11, at 3:00 p.m., giving Hammers fans a full weekend of hockey against their new arch-rivals.
The opening weekend will actually mark the second and third meetings between Hamilton and Toronto this season.
The Marlies are scheduled to host Hamilton for Toronto’s home opener on Saturday, October 3, at 4:00 p.m.
That means fans will not have to wait long for the rivalry to get started, with three meetings between the teams scheduled within the first few weeks of the season.
